On a "need to know" basis
The auction for the 16 soccer teams making it into the second round of the World Cup competition was held at the club on Friday, 25 June. This event was not at all well attended but we did manage to auction off some teams in order to raise funds.
The pool came to R1,940 which means payouts of R582 to the eventual winner, R388 to the runner-up and R194 to the third and fourth place finishers. The club will make R582.

Committee members can be contacted via email and can be found at the club on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as well as Saturday afternoons.
Ernie Scott sadly passed away on 15 May 2010 after battling cancer. He was a keen player at the club when he was not overseas during the winter months. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The committee, as part of its fund raising efforts, organised tickets to the "Route 66" show at the Barnyard Theatre in Tygervalley on Wednesday 12 March 2010.
Close on 100 tickets were sold to club members, family and friends. The show was a great success and everyone had a foot-stompin', hand-clappin', rootin'-tootin' good time with lots of Yeee-haaas thrown in for good measure.
Expect more of these type of events to be organised as it is a way for the club to raise funds without the organisational effort required for other types of events.
Some club members recently spent a long weekend on holiday in Robertson. A tennis match was organised with Robertson Tennis Club and here are some photos from the day.
